These notices apply to this website, the CAP Defender Logbook software, portable distributions, documentation, graphics, and related materials.

CAP Defender Logbook is not an official Civil Air Patrol, U.S. Air Force, or U.S. Air Force Auxiliary product. VossTek is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Civil Air Patrol.

1. Copyright notice

The CAP Defender Logbook software, this website, and all associated content — including without limitation text, graphics, logos, icons, images, layout, documentation, source code, and compilations — are the exclusive property of VossTek (or its licensors) and are protected by United States copyright law and international copyright treaties.

No part of this website or software may be copied, reproduced, republished, uploaded, posted, transmitted, distributed, modified, reverse engineered, decompiled, or used to create derivative works, in any form or by any means, without the prior written permission of VossTek, except as expressly permitted by applicable law or by a written license from VossTek.

You may download one copy of the CAP Defender Logbook software for personal use and Civil Air Patrol unit mission use, provided that you keep intact all copyright, trademark, and proprietary notices.

2. Trademark notice

CAP Defender Logbook^™ is a trademark of VossTek.

The CAP Defender Logbook name, the CAP Defender Logbook word mark, the CAP brand mark, and the CAP Defender Logbook logo (collectively, the “Marks”) are trademarks of VossTek in the United States and other countries.

VossTek, Moonraker Logbook^®, and the VossTek name are trademarks of their owner. All rights in the Marks are reserved.

Nothing on this website or in the software grants any license or right to use any VossTek trademark, service mark, trade name, or logo. Unauthorized use of the Marks is strictly prohibited and may violate trademark, unfair-competition, and other laws.

3. Proper use of the Marks

When referring to the product in text, use the following legend:

CAP Defender Logbook^™ is a trademark of VossTek.

Use the trademark symbol ^™ on the first or most prominent mention of CAP Defender Logbook in each page, advertisement, or document.
Use the Marks only as adjectives describing VossTek products (for example, “CAP Defender Logbook^™ software”), never as a noun or verb, and never in plural or possessive form.
Do not alter, translate, abbreviate, or combine the Marks with other words, logos, or designs without written permission from VossTek.
Do not use the Marks in a way that implies sponsorship, affiliation, or endorsement by VossTek unless that relationship exists in writing.
Do not register or use domain names, social-media handles, or company names that include CAP Defender Logbook or confusingly similar terms.

4. Proprietary rights

CAP Defender Logbook is proprietary software of VossTek. Possession of a copy does not transfer ownership of the intellectual property. Title, ownership rights, and intellectual-property rights remain with VossTek.

All rights not expressly granted are reserved. Any license, if granted, is limited, non-exclusive, and non-transferable, and may be revoked if these notices or applicable law are violated.

5. Third-party trademarks and official forms

All other trademarks, service marks, product names, company names, logos, and official forms mentioned on this website or in the software are the property of their respective owners. Their appearance does not imply affiliation with, sponsorship by, or endorsement of VossTek or CAP Defender Logbook.

Third-party names and materials that may appear include, without limitation: Civil Air Patrol; CAP; U.S. Air Force Auxiliary; CAP FORM 110; CAPR 100-1; CAPR 10-2; WMIRS; ICS Form 214 and related ICS forms (FEMA / NIMS); Windows; macOS; Linux; and Stripe. All such marks remain the property of their owners.

Official CAP and ICS forms, if reproduced by the software for print, are used solely so a mission can produce required paper. Reproduction of a form for that operational purpose does not transfer any right in the form, and does not make this software an official Civil Air Patrol product.

6. Disclaimer of warranties

THE WEBSITE AND SOFTWARE ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

VossTek does not warrant that the software will be error-free, uninterrupted, or suitable for any particular mission, incident, emergency, or regulatory purpose. Radio operation, logging accuracy, form completeness, and compliance with Civil Air Patrol regulations, FCC rules, and other law remain the sole responsibility of the operator and the incident command.

Printed CAPF 110 and ICS 214 output is a convenience for the mission file. It is not a substitute for current official forms, current CAP regulations, or the judgment of the incident commander.

7. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, VOSSTEK AND ITS DEVELOPERS, INCLUDING SQUALL VOSS, SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, MISSION RECORDS, PROFITS, OR OPERATING TIME, ARISING FROM USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE CAP DEFENDER LOGBOOK OR THIS WEBSITE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

8. Local data

CAP Defender Logbook is designed to run on the operator’s computer. Missions are stored locally in data/logbook.db and optional JSON packs under data/missions/. VossTek does not operate a cloud account for this product. Checkout is processed by Stripe under Stripe’s terms.

9. Terms of sale

CAP Defender Logbook^™ platform packs are sold as digital goods by VossTek.

Price. USD $1.00 per platform — a modest fee because Civil Air Patrol is a volunteer nonprofit. Windows, macOS, and Linux are sold separately. Buying one pack does not include the others. This is not the $19.00 Moonraker Logbook^® station price.
Payment. Card payments are processed by Stripe. VossTek does not store full card numbers on this website.
Delivery. After Stripe reports the payment as paid, a download link is issued for that platform only. Links expire after 14 days and may be used a limited number of times.
License. A completed purchase grants a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use that platform pack for personal use and Civil Air Patrol unit mission use. Title remains with VossTek.
Refunds. If a download link was never used, contact VossTek within 14 days of purchase. After a successful download, sales are generally final except where required by law.

Unauthorized copies, redistribution, or sharing of paid packs is prohibited.
